Franklin Baylor, known affectionately as “F Sharp,” is a creative soul hailing from Denver, Colorado, born on October 25th.
My journey has been deeply influenced by a strong connection to purpose and gratitude for the gift of imagination and inspiration in life. The nickname “F Sharp” has been a signature for over 30 years, originating from my days of harmonizing in groups, producing music, DJ'ing parties and serving as a radio on-air personality in the Denver community.
As a self-taught artist. Art has remained my guiding light or my sanctuary where emotions find their voice and creativity knows no bounds.
I began drawing since childhood, inspired over the years by both local and well-known artists, and music being around all of the time. It was in 2000 when I began adding paint to my drawings, and by 2010, I was being asked to showcase my work, and showcasing as a solo artist, performing live paintings, learning the art and music scene, having entrepreneurial goals of blending music and art in the same space. Haven been fortunate enough to have had an encore residency at a world-renowned jazz lounge, and able to paint three large-scale murals for a major broadband and media corporation, to charitable contribution to matters such as Children's Hospital; and silent auctions for AIDS.
I'm grateful to have a gift that has and can spread joy to others in some way.
As an active member of the Rhino Art District of Denver, my gaol is to bring together different walks of life in a collaborative effort of enjoyment through exhibitions of color and sound. With studies in Graphic Design at Community College of Denver, and a passion for music production and community outreach, I want my work to reflect resilience, passion, Love and the limitless possibilities of self assurance through art therapy.
